About

OUR MISSION

Hope and Prosperity aims to provide displaced
children with the safety of a home, education,
regular meals and most importantly - Love.

About

Our orphanage is in the rural town of Moulvibazar in Bangladesh. We want to play our part and break the poverty cycle by educating these children and giving them fighting chance to be valuable members of society.

We are an independent charity registered in the UK and our orphanage is completely funded by our supporters.

Our Vision:
Help create a world where orphans are cared for and educated to the highest standards of academic excellence.

We aim to achieve this by providing a nurturing environment which will allow children to develop valuable life skills along with academic excellence. We believe, that every child has the right to feel part of a global community and we want to instill these values of tolerance, integrity and hard work in all our children.

Our Promise:
Our Promise is to equip the children in our care with the skills to be independent and give them the confidence to integrate within society. Children are a gift from Allah and it is our promise to ensure that every child in our care is being given the support and opportunities to help them flourish.

Our History

2010

Hope & Prosperity was registered as a charitable organisation with the UK Charity Commission. Ever since, we have been on a mission to help orphaned children in Bangladesh by supporting them with regular meals and a shelter.

2012

We gathered enough funds to begin to invest in our own building. The land was donated in kind by a respected donor family and we began building work for the orphanage. With the hope to change lives of many children we continued to reach out to our communities and raised awareness and funds.

2014

Invested in a marketing strategy and via our fundraiser on tv, we were able to raise enough funds to begin the project. The dream was becoming a reality not just for trustees for many of the children who had dreamed of having a place to call home.

2016

Going strong and at full capacity with 55 children we employ a full-time team to live on site, complete with cooks and security guards. An official school curriculum was introduced for the children complete with extracurricular activities

2018

Our school is recognised for its efforts by the local community and it is opened up to other children in the village to enroll. A religious scholar has also been employed to teach the children their religious obligations along with the secular education system. With an increased number of girl orphans arriving, trustees decide to expand further into a new building to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.

2020

With the support of our donors we were able to begin work to build a girl’s orphanage. This much needed space will serve as a dedicated place for their activities and life skill workshops. We intend to continue to raise awareness and funds to complete this build by the end of 2021
